JOSEPH ADAMO – “Uncle Joe”
Class of 1984
QUARTERMASTER / VOLUNTEER / FUND RAISER
Cadet Years: Quartermaster (1954-1970)
HIS CADET STORY:
“Uncle” Joe Adamo was a long-time Quartermaster for the Corps. He started when his son Tom joined the Corps, staying throughout Tom’s eleven (11) year involvement as a Cadet, and continued with the Corps until the early 1970’s, nearly 17 years.
Uncle Joe drove the Corps truck – which, back in the day, was a box truck and the only equipment vehicle that traveled with the Corps, together with the buses. He drove wherever the Corps buses traveled. The truck contained all the uniforms, flags, rifles, percussion instruments, and some of the larger brass instruments.
Uncle Joe loved the Corps, and the members loved him.
