HER CADET STORY:
Susan’s contributions to the Corps were as an Administrator and eventually a Development Professional. Beginning in 1980 and continuing through 1984, Susan was an administrator for the Corps on a volunteer basis. She handled the merchandise operation, assisted with all record keeping and fund-raising, assisted with food service and tour planning. She quickly became the #2 person, more or less, in a world where there was little assistance.
By 2009 she took on the role of Director of Development. With her guidance, professionalism and work ethic, the YEA! And Cadet fund-raising efforts grew in strength and success.
Before the end came at the hands of a tragic vehicle accident, Susan was on the way to establishing an excellent development department complete with successful campaigns and events. More importantly, her charm and her NYC spirit made a difference for students, for alumni for the office team and the administration.
