HIS CADET STORY:

Paul started his career with The Cadets as a member of the Cadet Plebes during the late 1960’s.  He played baritone with the Plebes and The Cadets.  But Paul’s contribution goes way beyond his marching years.

Paul was involved with several milestones for the Cadet organization.  He helped bring up the Mississippi Kids during the 1980 season (known as the “Mississippi Bus Lift”) driving to pick up new members.  He was the first Director of the High School Marching Band Program, an integral part of the fundraising efforts for the organization for many years.  He taught the marching and color guard captions for the Corps, drove a bus or truck, and even helped to paint our vehicles or provide special decals for the vehicles when needed.  He was involved with just about every fundraiser we had during his tenure.

Paul was the consummate optimist, never having a negative word to say about anyone, but also not afraid of sharing his opinion when needed.  He was a blessing to the organization during his many years of service.  He is one of the longest tenured instructors/staff/administrators/volunteers in our Corps history.
