GEORGE LUCAS
Class of 2012
QUARTERMASTER / VOLUNTEER / BENEFACTOR
Cadet Years: Quartermaster/Volunteer (1980’s-1990’s)
HIS CADET STORY:
George was a long time quartermaster for the Corps, with a special concentration on vehicle maintenance. Over the years, the Cadets caravan of vehicles were always in need of proper maintenance and repair, and George performed some miracles (at times) to keep the fleet moving.
To paraphrase Cadet Hall of Famers Andy Warntz and his mom Ellen: “During his time with the Corps, both he and his wife Trudy were a hard-working duo who jumped in to do cooking, sewing, building a food truck, fixing uniforms, repairing engines and supporting the Cadets financially. Some Cadets might remember Trudy as a quiet lady who loved writing poetry, especially to describe the menu for the day on the white board.”
